Hey Sweetie! 030313

Hey Sweetie,

I'm back from an extended break
I haven't even been online
I completely broke away
To set my mind on other things.

Thank you for understanding my need
To take periodic breaks.
They really help me refresh my mind and soul.

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend.
I wish you a very lovely day.

Peace and Love to you,
AOM

MUSIC: "Baker Street" by Gerry Rafferty

This song is VERY special to me
It takes me back to the summer of 1978
I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing
When I first heard this song
I was at Summer Camp
We had the weekend off
I was in my cabin folding clothes
Getting ready for a new two week session of camp
And this song was blaring from a buddy's car
That was parked outside my cabin
I remember it like it was yesterday
That gloriously triumphant sax echoing throughout camp
This song brings back so many fond memories
From that super wonderful period of my life.

Vulnerability is the only authentic state. Being vulnerable means being open, for wounding, but also for pleasure. Being open to the wounds of life means also being open to the bounty and beauty. Don’t mask or deny your vulnerability:  it is your greatest asset. Be vulnerable:  quake and shake in your boots with it. The new goodness that is coming to you, in the form of people, situations, and things can only come to you when you are vulnerable, i.e. open.

When we were children, we used to think
that when we were grown-up
we would no longer be vulnerable.
But to grow up is to accept vulnerability. . .
To be alive is to be vulnerable.

~Madeleine L'Engle

We get most upset with those we love because they are close to us and we know that they are aware of our weaknesses. . . If only we could learn to live with our inadequacies, our frailties, our vulnerabilities, we would not need to try so hard to push away those who really know us.
